Things you need to know about the fat freezing treatment

Fat freezing treatment is a non-surgical, non-invasive medical treatment that targets stubborn pockets of fat on the body. The treatment is so effective that the old procedures for fat removal, such as liposuction, are barely used anymore.

In around 30 minutes, with no pain for most people, you could sculpt your waist, or rid yourself of a double-chin. For beauticians, it is one of the best treatments for tackling unwanted excess fat. It sounds too good to be true, how exactly does "fat freezing" work?

How does fat freezing work?

The fat freezing machine uses technology known as cryolipolysis: controlled cooling applied safely onto the area you want treated that causes underlying fat to freeze and be destroyed. With the cryotherapy procedure, a specialy designed cooling applicator is aapplied to the desired area of fat reduction to extract energy from the underlying fat tissue without damage to other tissues.

The applicator uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw the tissue between the cooling panels.

During the procedure, applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling conditions that have been proven to target and eliminate fat cells in specific area of the body. When fat cells are exposed to precise cooling, they trigger a process of nature removal that gradually reduce the thinkness of fat layer.

What does fat freezing feel like and is it painful?

Depending on the area being treated and your pain threshold, fat freezing is basically comfortable. The machine, with a specifically-sized nozzle attached to it depending on the area is strapped to you, and the fat is slightly sucked up into it.

It then starts the freezing process, which can feel a bit weird and throbbing, but should not be painful. You'll be attached for aound 30-40 minutes, and more than one nozzle can be attached at once.
